Sagittarius New Moon
Tomorrow's New Moon takes place at 6:32pm EST on December 12th, as the Moon joins the Sun at 20°40' of Sagittarius, the Mutable Fire sign of the Zodiac. Tis the season for expanding our horizons, yet the tricky part of a New Moon is the lack of perspective, especially given that Sagittarius most often sees unlimited possibilities. Optimism is strongly associated with this fiery sign's outgoing persona.
So what is causing the lack of perspective here? Yes, there's no light emanating from the start of the Sun and Moon's dance just yet. We start out on our monthly journey in the dark, with the crescent Moon hiding from us for a couple of days. The other factor is a challenging square to Neptune, bringing in confusion about our path and making us even more susceptible to foggy situations.
Part of the issue here is the uncertainty of everything going on around us out in the world and how these conditions open up our compassionate centers, leaving us feeling vulnerable and insecure. That's Neptune combined with the Moon for you!
Let's look to Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, passing through grounded Taurus for centering ourselves and helping us realize that while it's great to look at the bigger picture and what we aspire to, nothing good ever happens overnight. The key here is aiming for the future, one step at a time... taking little bites... not the whole thing all at once. Celebrate your achievements as they come and keep looking forward to a brighter future of abundant joy, happiness and a greater sense of security and purpose.
Mercury is also going retrograde on December 13th until January 1, 2024. This cycle of reviewing, redoing and researching falls under the responsible auspices of Capricorn, reminding us yet again to slow down and double-check everything. It's wise to do the above and not to begin new important projects, sign contacts or buy important ticket items involving movement or communications. That includes travel, computers and cars. If you can be patient and do even more research for the best thing for you, you'll be rewarded for a long time to come!
