Pisces New Moon
Pisces New Moon
The Moon joins the Sun at 9° Pisces 41' on Thursday, February 27th at 7:45pm, bringing this New Moon to the last sign of the zodiac before the Astrological New Year begins at next month's New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aries on March 29th. That makes this lunation about endings, self-reflection, tying up loose ends and listening to our intuition.
It is very important that we understand the necessity of listening to our inner voice as we navigate this cycle of endings, so that we're prepared for a complete sea-change when first the Sun, followed by the Moon, then Neptune, all leave the Mutable waters of Pisces for the fiery Cardinal realm of Aries, first sign of the Zodiac within 3 days of each other at the end of March. More on that later, but now back to the Pisces New Moon.
Jupiter in Gemini is really trying to get our attention with so much going on in the territory of the mind, plus lots of activity all around us, as it squares off with the empathetic New Moon in Pisces. Feelings are at odds with thoughts and both Gemini and Pisces being Mutable signs, one minute our emotions are changing, the next, we're rethinking how to react. That's why this lunar phase needs to be about rest and reflection and what we're ready to let go of in order to move forward with our ideas and goals for the upcoming Astrological year.
So, as you set your intention for this New Moon, let it include time to meditate, walk in nature, listen to soothing music, do yoga, paint or dance. Also make an effort to engage in philanthropic work that helps someone else to experience peace as well. Pisces is all about compassion, dreaming, and the imagination. Just be careful your daydreams don't lead you into a fantasy world where you can't distinguish between reality and the world you've created.
As I've said before, remember to keep your head in the stars and your feet on the ground.
