The Full Moon culminates in a Total Lunar Eclipse at 2:54am on Friday, March 14th in the 24th degree of Virgo, the mutable Earth sign of service, health and discrimination. As an adaptable sign, Virgo is willing to make allowances for situations that require more thought in order to get things right. Yes, Virgo is known for over-analyzing and being too critical, but when it comes right down to it, you want a Virgo in your corner!
Why is that so important at this Full Moon Eclipse? Because with the stellium of planets across the zodiac in watery Pisces, Saturn, Sun, North Node and Neptune, we need to be very certain we're choosing the correct food, action, person or situation at this auspicious time. An eclipse will affect us for the next 6 months, so setting good boundaries and getting more information is necessary if we're to succeed in the long run.
And the planets I mentioned in Pisces - of course we have the Sun directly opposite the Full Moon emphasizing compassion and our dreams. Also, Saturn sitting next to the Sun puts a very serious stamp on self-discipline and hard work if we're to reach for the stars! The North Node in Pisces is a destiny point which aligns exactly with the Sun in about 3 days. Then there's Neptune, hanging out at the final degree of Pisces in his Rulership, asking what is ending, what do you need to let go of?
With Pluto reaching for the Ascendant of this Full Moon chart, it's all about change and transformation. There will be no going back to the past once we have carefully chosen the right steps for our future. Mercury is going retrograde in Aries, the sign of new beginnings, a day after the Full Moon, and Venus is already retrograde in Aries, winding her way back to the Eclipse degree on April 12th. This is not the time frame for sudden or new decisions. Patience, focus on spiritual growth, creative, and humanitarian efforts are the required frame of mind to adhere to at this time.
