Mercury Retrograde & Jupiter in Aries
Mercury is stationary retrograde on Tuesday, May 10th at 04°52' Gemini and retrogrades back into Taurus on May 24th until June 3rd, when it will turn direct at 26°05' Taurus. During this period, and during the shadow phase from April 16th to June 19th, Mercury will revisit the discussions of financial and personal security that you had started in the last week of April.
Take the time to review your plans and see if any need adjustment. Make sure you have all the information you need to make pertinent decisions. Then when Mercury leaves its shadow phase on June 19th things will look clearer, communication will flow more easily and agreements and plans can be made effortlessly, providing you did your retrograde homework!
Giant Jupiter leaves watery Pisces today and enters fiery Aries where he will embolden you to initiate something new from now until October 27/28th. If you've been needing a bit of oomph to get something started, optimistic Jupiter will provide it! What will you be motivated to begin? Wherever you have Aries in your chart is where you'll feel this burst of energetic bravado.
They say fortune favors the bold and Jupiter in Aries is out to prove it! As I've said before, this larger than life planet can make a big deal out of whatever it comes in contact with, whether that's the sign it's in or the other planets it contacts by aspect. Aries is the sign of the entrepreneur, governed by Mars, and when ebullient Jupiter arrives here, fresh out of watery Pisces, he's ready for action - bold, courageous and willing to take a risk. This reminds me of the Tarot card, the Fool, in the Major Arcana, bravely striking out on his/her own at the start of a new journey.
Jupiter can get carried away and have you jumping in with both feet and asking questions later. Pause and ask yourself what are my dreams and how much energy and resources do I have available to begin this journey. Think of the last 5 months as Jupiter traveled through Pisces identifying your dreams. What is emerging from your subconscious realm to spark and inspire you?

I don't know how the rest of you are doing with Mercury retrograde these days, but I've had an interesting experience and have heard stories both hopeful and hindering! My personal story has been a combination of both those elements!
Briefly... at the Lunar Eclipse Full Moon, I tried to drive through a mud puddle and got stuck in the mud, which ended up seeping into the car and ruining the engine... it was much deeper than it looked! I sadly said goodbye to my trusty "Bessie" and she was hauled away to the junkyard. The next day, a friend told me about a free car that was available. It's an old Honda Civic in good condition which needs either a starter or an alternator and possibly a water pump. Replacing those items would be the cost of the car.
The mileage is fairly low for a Honda and the body, inside and out, are clean.
It's weird how Mercury retrograde works sometimes! I also heard from a friend that their computer's hard drive quit, and from another person, that they finally heard from the management, that the apartment they had been hoping to get, is theirs! That's the thing about Mercury... agreements, interactions and things with moving parts that get us connected to others, can go this way or that. Mercury is living up to it's trickster persona!
Mercury is backing into Taurus tonight, May 22nd, and we have the opportunity to be logical, do research and adjust to what is important or needed and how we will deal with our resources going forward. Where is that fine line between Taurus and Gemini in your chart? Remember, Mercury is still retrograde until June 3rd. You have a little under two weeks to reassess your budget and contemplate a better plan for when Mercury turns direct. Then as it works it's way through it's shadow in Taurus and back into Gemini on June 14th, finally reaching the 4° degrees on the 19th of June, where it was when it turned Rx, it will leave it's shadow behind!
The Sun entered Gemini on the 21st and will be lighting the way forward, highlighting who and where you need to make connections, depending on what House it's in in your birth chart. Mercury - decisions, agreements, and negotiations ought to be behaving a lot better if you pay attention to what the Sun is showing you.
The Sun remains in Gemini for all those phone calls, emails and conversations that you need to have in order to make plans and organize your life over the next few months. It's the people closest to you that will probably be at the focal point of your thoughts. That includes siblings, co-workers, neighbors... anyone you see, think about, or are in touch with on a regular basis.
